The natural spring, the vineyard's blue gold

The Chapel and Cloister, erected in the 11th and 12th centuries respectively, stand witness to a glorious past. Legend tells that a hermit set up home on the site to enjoy its nearby spring.

Bubbling up from the heights of the hill, the spring has been naturally irrigating the vineyard down below for centuries. It is also a formidable weapon against climate change, enabling the Château to considerably reduce its water consumption.

Syrah grapes were typically grown in the Rhône Valley, but rapidly spread to Provence.

Today, they are one of the world's most widely-planted grape varieties.

Aromas : Thriving in Provence's dry, sunny climate, this grape yields aromas of black, ripe and sometimes candied fruit.

Style : Wines made with Syrah grapes typically have powerful aromas and are long on the palate. Their tannins mellow over time and hence have an excellent ageing potential.

All of our red wines are blended with Syrah grapes.
