Plant covers

Vine plots are traditionally weeded by hand. At Château Sainte Roseline, we have chosen to use the plant cover technique, whereby the soil is sown with grassy and leguminous plants that grow to form a natural protective carpet. This method:

• Maintains soil moisture (by limiting evaporation)

• Stimulates soil biological activity

• Fosters biodiversity

• Limits soil compaction

Rolle

Generally known as "Vermentino", the Rolle grape - as it is referred to in Provence - is the main component of Provence's white wines. Rolle flourishes in hot climates with dry, impoverished soils.

Aromas : Rolle is a highly-aromatic grape unveiling notes of grapefruit, white fruit, white flowers and fennel…

Style : Matured in vats, it produces fresh and zesty white wines. Matured in casks, it yields unctuous and well-balanced wines.

Rolle is Château Sainte Roseline's signature white wine grape variety.
