Old vines

Vines can produce grapes for over 50 years, but after around 30 years, they are considered to be old. You are standing on a plot welcoming Château Sainte Roseline's oldest vines. Planted in 1979, they yield less grapes but produce more concentrated and intense wines.

The grape varieties planted here (Cabernet Sauvignon, Tibouren and Grenache) are used to blend our most prestigious wines, including the Chapelle Rosé, sold exclusively at our tasting room.

Grenache

Grenache is one of the Mediterranean's most iconic grapes. Perfectly resistant to the gusting Mistral wind, this grape variety easily adapts to sunbaked climates and thrives on dry, stony hillsides.
